  • Santa can't bring you that...

I was just on facebook ( thats not a big surprise haha) But anyway I just saw a friend of mine's status and it said..."wishes Santa would bring her contentment with the fact half of her best friends don't approve of her life, I guess only time could bring that."

This really saddened me...I thought Santa can't bring you contentment (nevermind the fact he's not real!) for that matter no one on this earth can. Only Jesus can bring you true contentment and Joy.

So I will be praying for her tonight. I don't know what she is going through exacty. Her status there is vague but God knows the sitaution exacttly and only He can bring her contentment, joy and comfort! Please pray for her too!

  • He is at work

    Just some random thoughts....

Alot has been happening in my life. God is working. He is at work.
He is the potter I am the clay. He is molding me.
He is not finished with me yet. I still have a long way to go.

He is taking my life and transforming it. Taking my will and conforming it.
He is taking my heart and renewing it. He is working on me.
Sometimes the work He is doing hurts. I know He is doing it to benifit me though.

I am amazed at His work. He is mighty to save and mighty to change.
I am a masterpiece in the works. But He is not finished with me yet.
I can't wait to see what I will be. He is at work.

I have a good future in Him! He is at work.
    The ending will be beautieful.

  • Prayer Request

I don't know how many of you have heard of the book Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. But its a Teenage Rebellion against low expectation.

Do Hard Things has inspired me and Helped me soo much in my walk with the Lord! Before this book I was LAZY (yeah I admit it) I was lazy in my schoolwork, in my chores, and even my walk with the Lord. But after reading the book it left me realizing that the ceiling was VERY close to the floor when it came to the expectations for myself and THAT HAD TO STOP! I realized that in NO WAY thats what God wanted from me.

Since reading the book I have a planner with the schoolwork and chores I need to get done for the day and I try my very best with the Lord's help to get it done. My desire to grow in the Lord has grown tremendously! I know this is not a spiritaul high either because its lasting!

So what is the prayer request?

I have a desire to start a DO HARD THINGS Bible study in my church for the youth. I would LOVE for you to pray about this. I have talked to my mom, dad, and I have emailed my pastor. I don't have a green light yet (or any light for that matter) Please pray that if this study is not His will that it is blocked. I don't want to do this if it is not His will because I know if I do it and its not His will it will fail.

Thanks for your prayers friends! I love you and appreciate you!

  • An entry from my journal of some wonderful reminders

Things DON'T JUST HAPPEN! God has a plan for you and a good one at that.

"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord.
Plans to Prosper you and not to harm you.
Plans to give you a hope and a future."
    ~Jer. 29:11

    TRUST HIM

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight."

    Proverbs 3:5-6

I don't think this means everything will be easy but I think that its much better than us trying to muddle are way through things on our own.

    CAST YOUR CARES ON HIM

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
    1 Peter 5:7

    FIX YOUR EYES ON HIM.

"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
    Hebrews 12:2

    THERE IS HOPE IN HIM.
"We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield."
    psalm 33:20
